Student Accounts: Student Health Insurance
 The
Commonwealth of Massachusetts mandates that all matriculated students
enrolled for nine or more credits, or seven or more graduate credits must be covered by a health insurance
plan comparable to the policy offered by Fitchburg State College
or purchase the Fitchburg State College health insurance plan.
All eligible students at Fitchburg State College are automatically enrolled in the
health insurance plan provided by the College each fall semester.
The Health Insurance Policy is administered by University Health Plans, Inc. (1-800-437-6448).
Students may waive their right to participate in the health insurance
plan if proof of other coverage is provided, by completing
a health insurance waiver on-line by visiting the University Health Plan, Inc. web site.
A new waiver must be completed on-line each fall semester. Please note: no paper waivers will be accepted, additionally if a waiver is not completed the student will be required to purchase the insurance through Fitchburg State College.
