Necessary Paperwork
When hired, the student brings a job description, provided by the
supervisor, to the Payroll Office, where federal and state tax withholdings and I-9 employment eligibility verification
must be completed prior to beginning employment.
Wages
Hourly pay rate is typically $8.00/hr., or as determined by the
supervisor.
Benefits
Student employees are NOT covered by the College Workers Compensation
Plan, nor do they receive benefits such as vacation pay, sick pay,
holiday pay, etc. The operation principle of the employment
program is an hour's pay for an hour's work.
Work Hours
A student's work schedule is determined by the supervisor and must
follow the normal work week practices. No employee may work
longer than six hours without at least a 1/2 hour unpaid break.
For details on completing your Trust fund paperwork please click here for the Payroll Office.
