Hosting an Internship:
The Department of Communications Media is always seeking new, challenging, and rewarding professional internship opportunities for our students. If your organization is interested in becoming an internship partner with our department, consider the following requirements for internships:
- Internships must be a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
- Internships must last for a semester (15 weeks)
- Internships must be unpaid.
- Internships must involve the intern in entry-level professional work in his or her field.

Hosting a Field Study:
The Department of Communications Media also has other means by which organizations can participate in the professional development of our students. Field studies meet the same requirements as internships, but in a less intensive manner. A 6-credit field study requires 20 hours of unpaid professional work per week for a semester. A 3-credit field study requires 10 hours. If you are interested in developing field studies with our department, please contact:
